(Note: The title was supposed to be "Dedicated to the February 14 Sermon", yet the title was too long to be put in.)
At one time, my school had a sermon about a law that permitted certain Ungodly things (i.e. homosexual couples). Since they chose February 14 arbitrarily, I had the day off. I drew this (although a lot later) in honor of the day.
Despite me practicing drawing them, I made a certain amount of errors: Ms. Sakaki's eyes look weird and like a Charmander's, Ms. Sakaki's and Kaori's hands look wrong, Kaori's chest is too flat, and she looks like she is leaning back.
And despite what a lot of people say, I say that Kaori IS NOT a lesbian! She just admires Ms. Sakaki extremely, and I am a homophobe! (That does not mean that I will be violent/hateful towards homosexuals; it means that I do not aprove of their actions, me being a Christian.)
P.S. Good news for Christians: the law was not passed, so God still has an upper hand there! However, the new Puerto Rican civil code provokes the changing of all that. Fortunately, it is still a rough draft, so there is still time to pray that the new Civil Code will be acceptable in God's eyes when it is passed!
UPDATE (October 25, 2009): Whatever. I decided to get rid of the wall of text, since you, with good reason, do not want to bother with reading all of that. In all seriousness though, all that you convinced me was that Kaori really was a lesbian (and I needed a quote from Mr. Azuma himself!). I still stand by everything else (especially since humans are designed for heterosexual behavior). However, I keep comments open here, since I want to let you have your say (and because I am sure enough of what I know to not fear opposition from you).
Just consider this, though. All I did was post this deviAtion (and a later Journal entry) and express my opinions withing the confinings of my own account, yet you flooded my account with not only arguments, but also S.P.A.M. as well, all while "putting me up for wanted" in Encyclopedia Dramatica, 4chan, and NewsGrounds. I seriously doubt that I am the intolerant one* in this story.
* = ...not that everyone who did a pro-gay comment here is intolerant, but plenty are.
Dear lord, the stupid is making my lungs hemorrhage.
I'm a lesbian, and quite frankly, it's stupid shit like this that frustrates me beyond belief. What you're saying about humans being "hardwired" for heterosexuality is debatable, as heterosexuality HAS been with humans since we were no more than apes (and yes, I am an evolutionist thankyouverymuch. >.> ) as a reproductive measure, but evidence of homosexuality existing with humankind (and all other animals, to be honest! Bonobos are apes quite closely related to us, and are well-known for forming sexual mateships with bonobos of the same sex as them.) can be traced back to the start as well. Take the Roman civilizations, the ancient Greeks, even the Aztecs and Maya! Your arguments are illogical and filled with pseudoscientific religious bullshit.
...Plus, don't you dare fuck with Azumanga Daioh. Kaorin is my favorite goddamned character. You're just stamping your beliefs where they don't belong. >.>
Furthermore, while gay couples cannot have children of their own, they can and do adopt children that do not have parents of their own, and they raise them just as well as any "traditional" couple. I think that is a wonderful way to start a family, especially in a world as cluttered as ours, and one day I would like to adopt with the woman that I fall in love with.
And Kaorin is a lesbian AND is attracted to Sakaki. It's pretty obvious, from the get go, and it gets even more obvious as the series goes on.
...that is a *chan, right?
You seem to have forgotten that one last line.
Funniest thing I've seen today.
And anywho, this drawing is not very good. You could do a lot better.
